Start with what hurts
Find the thing that's bothering you and read what's actually involved: what tends to cause it, what an assessment covers, and when it needs a different kind of care.

Back and neck
The spine itself, and what it refers down an arm or a leg. Lower back pain and neck pain are the two most common reasons people book here.

Head and jaw
Some headaches come from the neck and upper back and some do not, so what the assessment distinguishes matters more here than anywhere else on this page.

Shoulder, arm and hand
Shoulder, elbow and wrist complaints, where the neck is usually assessed alongside the joint that actually hurts.

Hip, knee and foot
Hip, knee, heel and ankle pain, where what is driving the problem often sits above or below the joint you can feel it in.

Joints and arthritis
Pain in more than one joint, or a joint that keeps flaring. The assessment works out whether the problem is the joint itself or what is loading it.

Injury and claims
Work and car accident injuries, where a claim number and a referral have to be in place before the appointment. Each page says what to organise first.

Pregnancy
Care through pregnancy and into postnatal recovery, with a chiropractor certified in the Webster Technique.

Babies and children
Musculoskeletal presentations in infants, children and adolescents. The technique used with a child bears no resemblance to adult technique, and a great deal of the appointment is assessment rather than treatment.
What these pages are and aren't
They're general information, not a diagnosis. Reading one won't tell you what's causing your pain, an examination does that. What they're good for is working out whether what you've got is worth doing something about, roughly what that something would involve, and whether a chiropractor is the right person to see about it.
Want to ask about your own situation rather than read around it? Send the question through and a chiropractor here will answer it.
