Getting here from Fitzroy North
About twelve minutes by car north-west via Brunswick Road. The 96 tram along Nicholson Street connects across to the route 58 at Brunswick West, which runs along Melville Road, get off at stop 35, on the corner of Victoria Street.
Street parking is available directly out front, and the opposite side of Melville Road is unrestricted at any hour.
What Fitzroy North patients come in with
Running and cycling. Edinburgh Gardens and the Capital City Trail carry a lot of both, and load-related knee, hip and heel presentations follow the same pattern every time, a jump in volume, a change of surface, or shoes past their useful life.
Desk and screen load. Long seated days producing neck pain, upper back tension and headaches with a neck component.
Terrace housing. Narrow stairs, low doorways and constant maintenance on Victorian terraces, which contributes more lower back presentations than people expect.
Young families. Pregnancy and paediatric appointments with Dr Kenneth Taylor, who is certified in the Webster Technique.
Your first appointment
About 30 minutes, and mostly assessment: a full history, a physical assessment covering posture, movement and muscle and joint testing, an orthopaedic and neurological screen, and an explanation of what was found before any treatment happens.
Three chiropractors practise here, each publishing their AHPRA registration number. An initial consultation is $125 and a standard consultation $78, every fee and item code is on the fees page, and HICAPS is on site so private health rebates are claimed at the desk.
