Getting here from Carlton North

About twelve minutes by car north-west via Brunswick Road. The 96 tram along Nicholson Street and the 19 along Sydney Road both connect toward Brunswick West, where the route 58 runs along Melville Road to stop 35.

What Carlton North patients come in with

Running. The Princes Park loop is among the most-run circuits in the inner north, and it produces the familiar load-related knee, hip and heel presentations, usually traceable to a jump in weekly distance.

Cycling. The Capital City Trail carries commuting traffic, loading the neck and upper back in the way riding characteristically does. See neck pain.

Victorian terrace maintenance. Narrow stairs, low doorframes and constant upkeep, feeding lower back presentations.

Desk work. Long seated days producing neck and posture presentations, and the headache patterns that travel with them.

Your first appointment

About 30 minutes, and mostly assessment: a full history, a physical assessment covering posture, movement and muscle and joint testing, an orthopaedic and neurological screen, and an explanation of what was found before any treatment happens.

Three chiropractors practise here, each publishing their AHPRA registration number. An initial consultation is $125 and a standard consultation $78, every fee and item code is on the fees page, and HICAPS is on site so private health rebates are claimed at the desk.
