Getting here from Strathmore

About fifteen minutes by car south-east via Mount Alexander Road or Pascoe Vale Road. Strathmore Station is on the Craigieburn line, and tram route 59 runs along Mount Alexander Road.

What Strathmore patients come in with

Family and school-age sport. Strathmore has a strong club sport culture, and junior and adult athletics, football and netball generate load-related knee, hip and ankle presentations, plus a steady stream of children’s posture questions during growth spurts.

Commuting. Long train and car commutes producing sustained seated load, surfacing as lower back and neck presentations.

Garden and home maintenance. Strathmore’s larger blocks mean more of it, and weekend work is a common precursor to a lower back or shoulder presentation.

Walking. The Moonee Ponds Creek trail and Napier Park, with the usual heel and knee presentations.

Your first appointment

About 30 minutes, and mostly assessment: a full history, a physical assessment covering posture, movement and muscle and joint testing, an orthopaedic and neurological screen, and an explanation of what was found before any treatment happens.

Three chiropractors practise here, each publishing their AHPRA registration number. An initial consultation is $125 and a standard consultation $78, every fee and item code is on the fees page, and HICAPS is on site so private health rebates are claimed at the desk.
