Getting here from Maribyrnong

About fifteen minutes by car east via Maribyrnong Road and Mount Alexander Road. Tram route 57 runs along Maribyrnong Road.

What Maribyrnong patients come in with

Running and cycling. The Maribyrnong River trail is one of the busiest recreational routes in the west, and it produces a steady flow of load-related knee, hip and heel presentations, nearly always after a change in distance, surface or footwear.

Retail and standing work. Highpoint and the surrounding retail bring long shifts on hard floors, producing lower back, hip and foot presentations.

Apartment living and desk work. A large newer apartment population with the usual neck and posture load from compact home workspaces.

Your first appointment

About 30 minutes, and mostly assessment: a full history, a physical assessment covering posture, movement and muscle and joint testing, an orthopaedic and neurological screen, and an explanation of what was found before any treatment happens.

Three chiropractors practise here, each publishing their AHPRA registration number. An initial consultation is $125 and a standard consultation $78, every fee and item code is on the fees page, and HICAPS is on site so private health rebates are claimed at the desk.
