Royal Park sits beside the Parkville medical precinct, and the two produce quite different presentations from the same postcode.

What the park produces

Running and cycling load on the park circuits and the Capital City Trail: knee, hip and heel presentations, nearly always after a change in volume, surface or footwear.

What the hospital precinct produces

Shift work load, long standing shifts, patient handling and disrupted sleep, producing lower back, neck and shoulder presentations.

Patient handling injuries, frequently as WorkSafe claims, which need a claim number and referral in place before the appointment.
