Stable and track work at Moonee Valley produces a recognisable set of presentations, early starts, physical handling, riding, and long hours on uneven ground.
What the work produces
Lower back load from handling, lifting and riding. See lower back pain, and sciatica where symptoms travel down a leg.
Shoulder presentations from pulling and leading. See shoulder pain.
Hip and groin load from riding. See hip pain.
Impacts and falls, which are worth assessing rather than working through. Where a work claim is involved, get the claim number and referral in place before the appointment. See work injuries.

Frequently asked questions
How far is it from the Valley?
About ten minutes by car north-east via Mount Alexander Road. The 59 tram runs the same road, and Moonee Ponds Station is on the Craigieburn line.
Do you have appointments that suit early starts?
The clinic opens at 8:45am six days a week including Saturday, and runs to 7:00pm most weeknights. That covers both ends of a track-work day.
What if I have had a fall?
Where there is obvious deformity, you cannot bear weight, or there was significant swelling straight after the impact, that needs an emergency department first. Otherwise book an assessment, the chiropractors screen before they treat and will refer if that is what is needed.
