The clinic sits on Melville Road in Brunswick West, a few minutes west of Brunswick itself. For most of Brunswick it is a shorter trip than heading into the city, and considerably easier to park.
Getting here from Brunswick
The route 58 tram runs along Melville Road, get off at stop 35, on the corner of Victoria Street, just past the 7-Eleven. From Sydney Road it is about five minutes by car heading west on Victoria Street or Albion Street.
Parking is the part worth knowing in advance. There is street parking directly out front, and the opposite side of Melville Road is unrestricted at any hour. On the clinic’s side you cannot park between 7:00am and 9:00am Monday to Friday, and that restriction is enforced, so for an early weekday appointment, park across the road.
What people come in with
The presentations that come through most often are lower back pain, neck pain, headaches with a neck component and sciatica, and among Brunswick patients specifically, a lot of desk-related neck and upper back load, and a lot of runners.
Whatever brought you in, the first appointment is the same shape: a history, a physical assessment, an orthopaedic and neurological screen, and an explanation of what was found before any treatment happens.
Booking and fees
Three chiropractors practise here and each publishes their AHPRA registration number. You can book with a particular one or book with anyone and let reception point you.
An initial consultation is $125 and a standard consultation $78. Every fee and item code is on the fees page, and HICAPS is on site so private health rebates are claimed at the desk.
The clinic is open Monday to Saturday, from 8:45am, with a later close on Wednesday.
