Getting here from Pascoe Vale

Melville Road runs almost directly between Pascoe Vale South and the clinic, which makes this one of the simplest trips of any suburb served here, about ten minutes by car with no turns to speak of.

Pascoe Vale Station sits on the Craigieburn line, and the route 58 tram runs the Melville Road stretch to stop 35, on the corner of Victoria Street.

What Pascoe Vale patients come in with

Trade and manual work. Pascoe Vale has a substantial tradesperson population, and lifting, bending and overhead work generate lower back and shoulder presentations, often as WorkSafe claims.

Long commutes. Driving and train commuting produce sustained seated load, surfacing as neck pain and lower back presentations that track with the working week.

Older patients. A long-settled population means a steady share of appointments with older patients, where lower-force technique is the appropriate choice and bone density, medication and surgical history change the approach.

Walking and cycling. The Moonee Ponds Creek trail runs the length of the suburb, with the usual load-related knee and heel presentations.

Your first appointment

About 30 minutes, and mostly assessment: a full history, a physical assessment covering posture, movement and muscle and joint testing, an orthopaedic and neurological screen, and an explanation of what was found before any treatment happens.

Three chiropractors practise here, each publishing their AHPRA registration number. An initial consultation is $125 and a standard consultation $78, every fee and item code is on the fees page, and HICAPS is on site so private health rebates are claimed at the desk.
